Picking our own strawberries in Bullsbrook

It's strawberry season :o)

Last year my sister and I took the girls to a pick-your-own strawberry farm in Gnangara, Perth. It was so much fun and such cheap entertainment. You can read about it here.

Well, this year I have been waiting patiently for strawberry season to start. I knew it must be starting soon so I was checking websites and facebook pages. Then on Friday night I saw a FB post about the Bullsbrook strawberry farm opening up for the season on Saturday. So I messaged my friend Hannah and invited her along with us. We picked her up Saturday morning and were there within an hour of the season starting. Keen, much? lol

We had a great time and the rain thankfully held off long enough for us to collect a full tray and fill our bellies too (which is allowed, don't worry). Then on the way home we stopped off at Whistler's chocolate for a delicious lunch, some chocolate taste testing and some last minute Fathers Day gifts.

For those of you in Perth who are looking for something to do with the kids, here is the website for the farm http://www.pickyourownstrawberries.com.au/ It is $10 per tray and $2 entry per 'trayless' visitor. So for us, 2 adults and 2 kids, it was $16.
